Adam Christopher Bockes, 24, of Enola, faces three new sets of charges after state police say he had sex with a 13-year-old and burglarized an Eden Township home, stealing a jug of water.

A Cumberland County man already charged with inappropriately kissing and cuddling a 13-year-old girl from Lancaster County is now charged with sexually assaulting the same girl and burglarizing a home.

Adam Christopher Bockes, 24, of Enola, faces three new sets of charges after state police say he had sex with a minor and stole a jug of water from an Eden Township home.

According to charging documents, Bockes admitted having sex with a 13-year-old girl after he was taken to a hospital for injuries sustained in an assault and abduction July 14. Police say the assault was tied to his relationship with the girl.

The girl later confirmed to police that they had sex, according to charging documents.

Police began investigating Bockes after they charged brothers Earl Dean Hampton, 43, and Shawn P. Riley, 39, with aggravated assault, kidnapping and four related offenses, saying they assaulted Bockes after finding out he was with the girl.

Hampton and Riley attacked Bockes with PVC pipes, leaving him with a head injury and a broken wrist that required surgery, police said. Both are in Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $150,000 bail each. They do not have lawyers listed on their dockets.

After a court hearing Monday, charges of aggravated assault, kidnapping and false imprisonment have all been withdrawn from the dockets of Hampton and Riley. They remain charged with simple assault, harassment and theft.

After the assault, an injured Bockes entered a home, took a water jug from the refrigerator and went to the master bathroom, where he drank it, according to charging documents. Bockes eventually left the home and police found him in the neighborhood.

Police on Monday filed new charges of statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, burglary and four related charges against Bockes.

Bockes was initially charged July 20 with interference with the custody of children and corruption of minors after they said he kissed and cuddled the girl less than a week after he was attacked for being in contact with her.

Bockes is in Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bail. He does not have a lawyer listed on any of his dockets and is scheduled for a hearing Aug. 7.
