One person was injured when a vehicle collided with a Norfolk Southern freight train in Upper Leacock Township Tuesday evening.
A dispatcher with Lancaster County-Wide Communications reported that a single vehicle collided with an oncoming train at the rail crossing on Horseshoe Road, near the entrance to the Conestoga Valley Industrial Center, just after 4 p.m. One person in the vehicle was transported to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries. No injuries were reported on the train.
Police could not be reached for comment as of press time.
The 2500 block of Horseshoe Road was closed and reopened at around 5:30 p.m.
