Lancaster County was placed under a code orange air quality alert on Monday.
The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection issue code orange air quality alerts when air pollution concentrations may be unhealthy for sensitive groups, such as children, the elderly and people with asthma, heart disease and lung diseases.
Other counties included in the alert are Dauphin, Lebanon, Cumberland and York.
