Louise Knosp

Louise Knosp, age 73 of Paradise, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at the Lancaster General Hospital. She was the wife of James L. Knosp with whom she was happily married for 53 years. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Fry. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church where she was involved with the Knitting Club and Bible Studies. Louise was a life member of the Paradise Leaman Place Fire Company Station 47 Ladies Auxiliary where she served in many different ways including custodial care for over 20 years. She was also a Girl Scout Troop leader for 18 years. In her free time, she loved going to the mountains, scrapbooking, and spending time with her family.

Surviving besides her husband Jim are 2 sons: Jamie, husband of Tammy Worst Knosp of Ronks and Joshua, husband of Paula Harpster Knosp of Paradise, 4 grandchildren: Elyzabeth, wife of Jeremiah Stoltzfus, Missy, wife of Chad Dippner, Jillian, fiancée of Ryan Carpenter, and Jenae, companion of Samuel Beiler, 6 great-grandchildren: Ethan, Landon, Lilly, Waylon, Jack, and Jaxson, and a brother: Jeffery, husband of Diana Fry of ME. She was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Fry.

A funeral service will take place at St. John's United Methodist Church, 3001 Lincoln Highway East, Gordonville, on Tuesday, May 28th at 11 a.m. with a viewing time from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Pastor Milton Stoltzfus will be officiating. There will also be a viewing time at the church on Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in the Hellers Cemetery.
