An Upper Leacock Township woman died in a two-vehicle crash last week in Earl Township, according to the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office.
Ilana Abugov, 48, died after her car was struck by another vehicle in the 500 block of South Shirk Road on June 27, about a mile southwest of New Holland, according to the coroner. Abugov was the only person in her vehicle at the time of the crash.
Emergency crews were called to a vehicle crash with entrapment around 4:51 p.m., according to radio dispatches. A dispatcher said a truck collided with a Mitsubishi Mirage compact car and that one person was stuck in a vehicle and did not have a pulse.
Crews closed the road between Peters and Zeltenreich for about two hours before the coroner’s office responded just before 7 p.m.
The responding coroner pronounced Abugov dead at the scene. The coroner ruled the death accidental, the result of multiple traumatic injuries.
Police did not respond to requests for more information about the crash.
